Feather Jersey Draped Dress – Helmut Lang

This is a Covet & Bought, for sure, for sure.

The first half of the week, I was all up in NYC on business. Which, if you know what I do, you know has no relation to any kind of fashionable endeavours whatsoever. However, being in NYC? With a couple of hours between meetings ending and stores closing? Hot damn. And also, not blogging. Sorry about that.  BUT, look. I did manage to get out with friends and window (and not window) shop.

Check it: Visited the McQueen NYC flagship and died inside. Tried on pieces at the DVF store located below their corporate offices, and left a dress that I loved, but was pure fall, behind.  Hit Intermix and Owen, and then headed back to my hotel in Chelsea to get ready for dinner up at Dovetail (Dude. DUDE. So good) in the Upper West Side.  Managed to get to the Helmut Lang store 15 minutes before closing. The fact that I was wearing a Helmut Lang dress at the time couldn’t stop me from running in and scouring their end of season, 40% racks. And this lovely thing managed to come home with me.

Made from incredibly soft jersey, it’s the perfect weight for wearing all year long.  Confession: it’s pretty much the same silhouette as the marble print silk dress I was wearing at the time. Yes, I’m totally that girl who buys things that work in multiple colours.  It’s only fit, you know?

Want to get in on the action? She’s for sale at the Helmut Lang site.  Just sayin’.
